State Farm.
Sure you can find a lot of insurance companies that are cheap in cost. But when you have an accident, State Farm comes thru every time with money to pay for the repair of your car. They pay the repair shop, not you, though. I have had State Farm for 30 years.

Look into any insurance company that is not a independant agent. Look into companies like State Farm, Allstate, Nationwide...............just stay away from Geico, they are a absolute joke. Im with State Farm, 14 years, and thay have given me AAA+ service when I needed them.

If you have any sort of military affiliation, sign up with USAA. They are a GREAT company and they offer so much more than the cheapest prices and great customer service.
We have loans through them, a checking account, our homeowners insurance, etc.
They are fabulous.

If you had valid plates on the car, it wasn't "off the road" to sell. It's pretty darned hard to sell a car unless it can be test driven; sounds like during this time, if there was an accident, Elephant would have had to cough up the money for the accident - you're going to have to cough up money for the time the policy was in effect.
