Sorry but welcome to the world of getting back into shape!

It is a combination of new muscle movement and the development of lactic acid being released into your muscles and system.

Go slow, warm up and warm down. Get need rest and use Ben-Gay type stuff if you fell the need. By the way, one of the active ingredients in Be-Gay is Tabasco Sauce.

The soreness will pass soon and each time you work out the endorphin release will make you feel good.

Make sure to do cool down stretches at the end of class to release any build up of lactic acid in the muscles. Also, drink plenty of water 8 - 10 glasses a day to keep your joints and muscles well lubricated.

If you want to loose weight and be healthy you need to understand the balance. First you need to eat healthy food such as veggies, fruits (preferably organic). Then you need to have good mental health. This means meditating. You can do yoga, martial arts, sleep, or actually meditate(sitting in a comfortable position and clearing your mind).Lastly you need to exercise. This includes cardiovascular workout 1-2 times a week. Work out on the muscular system 2-3 times a week (every other day).

Why exercise helps :

When you exercise, you actually break down the muscle. When you rest, it builds it back up, and it builds it stronger. So, initially it is perfectly normal to be sore.

Just take some OTC pain killer and continue exercising. It will get better soon.

Once you do it for a little bit, you get used to it. It doesn't matter how fit you are, it's going to hurt the first week or so.

Working out is overrated, just be happy with who you are.
