I have a two month old miniature schnauzer, we got her a week ago and we have been feeding her Maxium by Purina. She was fine up until today,This morning she was shaking a lot i figured she was just cold, so i wrapped her up and went to the grocery store i got back two hours later and she was in the Same spot!! After that i took her out to use the restroom but she did nothing, she wont touch her food and hasnt all day she drinks a bit of water now and then but just lays back down. she gets PLENTY of attention, constantly, About 30 minutes ago i took her out again because she was sniffing around to use the restroom, as i sat her on the ground she "squirted" out white from her bottom. and she has done it once more...any suggestions? or ideas WHAT is wrong?!?

I don't mean to sound rude or anything but if you love that little pup and you want to be a responsible pet owner then here is an idea......TAKE IT TO THE VET NOW...your pet is sick and no one here can tell you what to do....I know a lot about animals and their illnesses but it would be very irresponsible for me or ANYONE else that would give you possible misinformation. Don't ask online about a sick or injured animal just be responsible and take it to the vet please. That little guy can't tell you how it is feeling other than showing you by shaking and having an irregular bowel movement. Anyone who says they are a vet tech would be doing you an injustice if they try to diagnose your dog by just what you have typed. Please take it to a vet.

Call the vet ASAP - if it was me., I'd call the 24 hr line and tell them the symptoms. I woudln't want to get you worried.. but white stool.. usually means the just ate a few bones.. but runny white, loss of appetite? I believe that's along the lines of parvo.

I'd make sure she does drink water.

If she does have parvo and the treat her.. I'd keep her away from dogs for at least a month.

Try giving pumpkin (real mashed pumpkin.. not the spicy canned kind) Pumpkin works well to harden OR soften the stool to a normal consistency. Dogs systems digest food within I think it's 8 hours or so.. so you would see instant results.

Still.. I'd call the vet. You have little history on this critter since you haven't had it that long.

I hope she gets better. Send us photos! we have a Standard and she's the best thing ever.

You need to go to the vet. Something is very wrong and needs a vet to look at your dog. Or maybe the dog got ahold of something you're not aware of. Best bet is to get to the VETS.

Since your 2 month old puppy is acting lethargic, I'd recommend a vet visit, instead of waiting for people to make guesses, on here.

phone your vet right away, if they are closed phone the emergency number that should be listed as well. is your little one up to date on her shots? has she had contact with other dogs? some of those symptomes sound similar to the start of parvo. our puppy had those sma symptoms and we took him to the vet, where he stayed for a couple of days, he did recover, but he was not such a small dog. best bet is to phone the vet!!!

Take your puppy to the vet. Something is wrong with her and she needs medical attention.

I'm so sorry, it could be something very minor. Wait for a day or two but then bring her to the vet to make sure. She might have a virus that she caught in the store or wherever you got her from. It's probably nothing, but you still need to treat her.

Yes, and it's very serious, call an emergency vet immediately.

Take this baby to the vet immediatly, as it sounds like Parvo, if you get her to the vet she has a 50/50 chance if its parvo, if you dont take her and it ends up being parvo, she dies.
