Ok, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that “god” created everything. I can still prove to you how science out weights religion.

Early man, lets start with Homo habilis was the first “man” to create stone tools to cut up meat and make spears to out match their predators insuring the their survival.

Next we have Homo erectus, who was the first “man” to harness fire and cooked meat (eating cook meat was easier to digest giving them more protein for the brain to develop)

Without those tools/inventions of science our earliest ancestors would never be able to compete with other predators.

Remember this was when religion didn’t exist so all of our poor ancestors will go to hell along with trillions of others, Ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Macedonians, Romans, Celts, Chinese, Yamato (Japanese), Aztecs, Incans, Mayans, and Thousands of other cultures who don’t believe in Christianity.

Seems to me science out weights religion and seems to me heaven is a very Christian place that only Christians can go to.

Hmm…Do Christians honestly believe they are so special compared to the thousands of other cultures and religions?

Basicially we probably would of been extinct if it wasn't for science.

Without creativity those tools would never have been made, and let's face it without the "Breath of Life" we wouldn't be here to need any of it anyway.

That is a Christian belief, it doesn't make it true. You can assume and think its true but other may not agree with out.

No offense

Your getting the wrong idea about science. Some people think just because you can't prove god exist doesn't mean he/she/it doesn't exist.

I don't agree with mainstream religion's god, but I do think that there is something else big out there.

"Early man, lets start with Homo habilis was the first “man” to create stone tools to cut up meat and make spears to out match their predators insuring the their survival."

Where did homo hablis come from? Where did that come from and so on? So you are saying that Homo habilis came up with stone tools to cut up meat and make spears. Why did it fear death? If it had low I.Q. it should not know fear. Ensure survival? For what purpose?

"Next we have Homo erectus, who was the first “man” to harness fire and cooked meat (eating cook meat was easier to digest giving them more protein for the brain to develop)"

How come homo habilis did not think of this? Oh you say no brain or low I.Q. And did the things he ate pass on to his offspring or to him? Don't genetics predetermine everything?

"Without those tools/inventions of science our earliest ancestors would never be able to compete with other predators."

According to scientist, prehumans existed with Dinosaurs. Tell me how a stone and a spark is going to stop a dinosaur when you can even stop an aligator with these?

First, i will give you the benefit of the doubt that you care what i reply to your question. You have given the answer to yourself, but i will respond in hopes you will actually consider what I say.

First of all, consider that i am an "old earth" Christian. I belive we are in a different "age" from these descendants you speak of. I believe the reason there is a "missing link" is because the old earth was destroyed. That neandrathal, etc, DIED, kapoot. We are not their descendants.

Our lineage dates to Adam and the garden of paradise. That's why there is no written records more than 6000 yrs old.

Second, religion has not always been a boon to mankind. The crusades, etc were evil , and many men have done evil in the name of God, and of Jesus.

Ever notice that Godly men battled these so-called religious men? Our (mostly) God-fearing nation has fought 2 world wars. The declaration of independance was written by (mostly) God-fearing men. Scientific discovery has been by and large by men who believed in a creator, at least until this century. Einstein, Copernicus, Bacon, Kepler. Galileo, Descartes, Newton.

The book of proverbs says: the fear (awe, respect) of God is the beginning of knowledge.

It's not a Christian thing, it's a God thing. I do not believe God only respects Christians. He respects any man who loves Him, however he arrived at that understanding.

Here is the crux of true Christianity, as I see it:
Jesus is the man God chose to pay the price so that we can obtain eternal life. Jesus was obedient. If you make Jesus your Lord (not your God) your receive GRACE, i.e. there is no judgement that can keep you out of eternal paradise. If you do not make Jesus your Lord, then you will be judged according to your works here on earth.

I believe that God is a righteous judge, and that many millions will inherit eternal life besides Christians.

EDIT: I think part in of the problem here is your understanding of Christianity, and that most Christians do not have a very deep understanding of scripture. Christians, like most humans, are sheep; democrats are sheep, republicans are sheep, communists are sheep. When you talk to real scholars, they, like scientific scholars, vary widely, because it is IMPOSSIBLE to approach anything with a completely unbiased eye. You have talked to so many Christians, who frankly haven't a clue, that you argue from the vantage point of failed theology. If you are really interested in how science and biblical accuracy comingle, go here:

Without having read the other answers, I'll offer this: If God hadn't created us with inginuity, Science wouldn't exist. Religion, in and of itself, is a man-made institution.

However, even scripture tells us that God gives us an innate knowledge of our Creator, and His evidence is creation. All the "trillions of others" had their own ideas of who that Creator was. Many added "helpers" along the way, but they all had their own religions. Sometimes they were persuaded to believe in the real One, sometimes not.

Your assumption is right, however. Heaven is a special place, reserved for those of us who, over many thousands of years, have heeded the call of our hearts and searched for our Creator.

In OT times, God presented Himself to a select few, letting the rest follow their lead. Their faith was counted as justification. When Jesus came, the whole world was presented with the opportunity to believe. Likewise, our faith is counted as justification.

We have a one-on-one relationship with the very One who gave us breath and orders our lives. He's not some unreachable King who only sees those He summons. He's a precious Father who welcomes us with open arms when we seek Him.

Reckon that does make us sorta' special, huh?

Religion has always existed since Adam and Eve. You can not compare a small thing a man has created to everything which God has created. I wouldn't worship a man who invented stone tools...so what? Ok great...that;s nice of you, but I won't worship you. God created EVERYTHING including YOU!

I'm not christian by the way, so i don't think they're special compared to thousands of other cultures and religions.

You can't 'prove' that science outweighs religion. Considering that God created everything, science wouldn't exist without God. Both science and religion are useful in this life, but what about after you die? Then what? Religion will be more useful then, because if you did not believe then it's off to hell you go. I believe science is important too, but religion moreso.

But, remember, who CREATED THOSE FIRST BEINGS????
It also states in the BIBLE that anyone that has not had access to the teachings of GOD will not be judged to go to hell. For the INNOCENT shall receive eternal life. But, that every one on earth, has the ability to know that there is a Superior Being, and the choice to believe or not.

RELIGION:
The term Christian covers a wide variety of Denominations, Faiths, Religions, Beliefs. The term Christian, simply put covers any one who believes there is a SUPREME BEING, there is GOD. So just WHO are you directing this to?

Did science give us life?
Did science give us the brains and intelligence to think creatively?
Can science teach us right from wrong?
Can science give eternal life?

And as far as who will go to hell, you have not read, nor have you understood the Word of God, the Bible, because it clearly declares that ALL who have the spirit of man will have the opportunity for eternal life in the Kingdom of God.

I can bounce with that but I just can't bounce with the whole "if science can't prove it, it doesn't exist" or "science is all I need" mindsets; too narrowminded for me

No offense

Hey, me too; I don't practice organized religion but I believe in a supreme being and I believe in evolution...to an extent

nicely, somebody dumb sufficient to think of that dinosaurs and human beings lived on an identical time (specific, Palin incredibly believes that) isn't envisioned to have blasts of shining perception popping out of her mouth. She would not have faith in evolution, so that is in all possibility ineffective to attempt and clarify to her the usefulness of experimenting on diverse animals that proportion an identical prevalent makeup as us through fact she will have the potential to merchandise that we proportion something with them. God created diverse varieties, and that they are all diverse, undergo in ideas? rolleyes you realize, i think of there are truthfully countless human beings obtainable like shawnesty1 above who truthfully think of that scientists are in basic terms excited by gaining knowledge of and not looking remedies through fact curing a sickness potential not greater money. Nevermind that a learn scientist isn't precisely a severe paid place, and absolutely everyone who famous the treatment for AIDS has an common Nobel Prize (alongside with the ~a million.5 million $ prize that incorporates it), and ignoring the repute and status and expertise to call for severe paid positions that the guy who discovered the treatment might get. No, those persons are so caught up of their little delusion international that they even have faith scientists are suppressing a treatment so as that they might get money with the help of gaining knowledge of it. those persons at the instant are not excited by how issues artwork interior the real international, they like to stay of their delusion and to hell with absolutely everyone who tries to tell them otherwise. i've got faith each so often that folk resent technological know-how through fact it produces effects, something their ideals are incapable of doing.
