First off...I'm 16 years old, and have pretty much rejected Christianity throughout my life. When I was little, I hated going to church for all sorts of various reasons and sort of associated that with Christianity as a whole. I kept this mentality until I was a bit older...then I was sort of in that kinda do kinda don't...but not really stage. I kept it that way until I was fifteen and my Sophomore Science teacher and I started to have a bit of a more personal relationship than just student to teacher. I would stay afterschool for a couple of hours sometimes, and we would talk about things. He is a Christian, and said he saw something in me...and so started to teach me all about Christianity. (sorry this is so long...) Anyway, with all of our discussions that stretched into hours...I came to believe in Christianity. One of the reasons I had never before is because I was taught differently and the way I was taught seemed to make sense to my very logical side. What I'm wondering is...

When I first believed....I did so against my will. I didn't want to, and I hated that I did...but regardless...I did. There are all sorts of reasons for this...but what I want to know is...what is that going to do against me in the eyes of God? I don't so much anymore...but...

Hello, I am confused at the question, but if you are asking if God will forgive you of your past of your unbelief, before you believed, yes. If we come to Him and ask with a sincere heart, He no longer remembers our transgressions... If you are wondering if God will forgive you after you believe, and no longer believe in Him... you will be held accountable, just like every unbeliever.

It is up to us to seek and search God out, and once we find Him to continue searching, always drawing nearer to God.

It was good that you had someone that could help you understand, but with that teacher being in a position of power, it is highly unhealthy for the both of you to continue your friendship. If he is looking out for your Christian walk, he should have made it clear for you to find a church, perhaps at his recommendation, and even introduce you to his pastor and elders and leave you in thier capable hands. It is too easy for tender young babes in Christ ( yes, I am am still considered one...) to gain an attachment to ones who hold so much more knowledge about God that we tend to put them on a pedestle or become attached emotionally to them.
You have the tools, and God does expect once we are led to Him, to continue the journey with Him. Ask God to lead you further... pray, and seek the members of a church. If you are sencere in your search, God will forgive anything that you ask of Him, provided that you do your best to lay that "sin" down...
It is not uncommon for those seeking God, falter, and say " I tried it, it wasn't for me" I urge you not give up searching God until you exauhsted every avenue. It is hard, and some people do not like the journey, it's too hard and long of a road...
If there is one person through them, you became a Christian, then there are others out there, to take over, and answer questions he perhaps cannot, you just have to search long and hard.

If you need to chat, or would like to have any conversations concerning Christianity, please feel free to use my email.
God Bless,
Always look up, and never give up.

I think that when we percieve something we don't understand is thrust upon us, that we have the freedom of choice inside our head to pretend on the outside and reject it on the inside, a kind of power kick. Then you get to wondering, if that "choice" is what it's all about, in the end no one can force us to believe anything we don't want to. Thomas Paine argued that in itself is the greatest gift, because if God proved his existance, it would not be a choice to worship, love, but obedient fear. So by NOT proving His existance, God gives us a choice, whether to believe or not, that choice is proof of our love, and we are given our whole lives to make that choice. At least that's the way I believe it, God gave us this freedom, so no lower being has a right to dictate our faith or control our thoughts. Science can explain away many miracles, but never explain how these things happen at precisely the right time and place. You just have to have faith that things will work out for the best, but God gave us brains, hands and voices, he left it up to us to use our abilities to do our best. Only you and God know what's inside, accept or dimiss the outside input from other people as you see fit, I just ask you reflect on all things, and I believe you will find what is right.

All those who are born again have the old man and the new one created in Christ. The part of you that still rejects things and the part that believes and desires. It seems like your just experiencing this inner battle. Read Romans 7 and you will see Paul in his same struggle. Now you need to do the things you know are right even though you will find desire to do what is wrong.

You cannot believe nothing unless you was willing, cause God will not force nothing upon you. So therefore you are truly not believing and therefore cannot be saved. Now no man can come unto God unless he draw them. A person that doubts cannot believe to receive anything of the lord.

You have just recently converted. Your heart was turned away from him even if you did know the truth (Personally all people know the truth about God, but they love sin more than him) so anyway you have just agreed to let him come into your life to be your best friend, why would he reject that?

The past is the past. As long as you sincerely accept him with a humble heart of faith, and ask God into your heart and believe he will forgive you from all your sins, God will do just that. You will be saved and you are assured a home in heaven.

I believe that above all else... God is kind and fair. If you didn't/don't believe in Him then it doesn't count against you. Your actions will, but the actual lack of belief isn't going to be held against you.

It is believing and acting as if you don't, that counts against you.
