I am 18 years old...I weigh a whopping 253 lbs. I have always been a little overweight, but never this much... I am constantly thinking about it This past summer I exercised almost 5 times a week. I went from 240 to 212...However school has started up again and I am currently in my Senior year and have no time to exercise between school, work and homework...I tend to grab what is available no matter what the nutrition value...What should I do?

Well, I'd say your first step would be to pack your lunch, snacks, any food you need bring from home. Make sure it's healthy, low calorie and nutritious. You just have to say NO to that impulse to grab anything. Make sure you have something to eat at all times. Cereal bar, yogurt, I know it's hard but it's really the only way.You know, the same old same old...veggies, whole grains, proteins and watch the carb and sugar intake. Limit or better yet eliminate soda completely. Stick to water or milk. As far as exercise, if you can't squeeze even 20 minutes per day for yourself, then you need to re-evaluate what's going on. Your worth 20 minutes a day, don't you think? Good luck. I know it sucks, I struggle myself.

You should try to set aside about one hour or so once a week to devote to exercise (some exercise is better than no exercise).
As for the junk food problem, you should try not to surround yourself with so much junk food (don't buy any, or buy a small amount). Oh, and another thing that is good to know is that the heavier (weight wise) the foods that you eat, the fuller you feel. So if you were to eat an apple right when you get home from school, you would most likely feel less hungry than if you were to eat some potato chips.
Oh an one more thing to remember is that muscle weighs more than fat, so you might not be as out of shape as you think (even if you just have a little bit of muscle). Well, I wish you the best of luck.

Get rid of all temptations that you can. if it's not around then you won't be tempted to indulge. Also try simple like taking the stairs instead of the elevator and maybe walking the mall with some friends. Even dancing at parties is exercise. if you constantly think about it and work towards losing weight there is no way you will fail. Good Luck and God Bless

The best way to break your eating habits is to surround yourself with healthy, easy snacks and meals instead of just grabbing something quick (like fast food or junk food) while your studying or on a break from work. Keep cheese sticks, cut up veggies and fruit in the fridge, carry low fat snacks to work or school with you so you dont end up starving and grabbing the most conveinent thing there is to eat (which for most people is junk food)
The easiest switch to make in your diet is replace whatever you are drinking with water - drink tons of it.

Its hard with a hectic schedule like yours, but you can do it. Good luck.

continuously have a protein with a carb..which will help save you happy. once you get in from college, make a healthful snack like an PB&J sandwich with an apple. or you will have cheese and fruit. Pizza and stuff like it extremely is merely too severe in empty energy. attempt to get a robust protein with a robust starch. Proteins: Lean turkey, hen Nuts Cheese Peanut butter Starches: complete wheat bread Pasta Crackers

What's more important? The food or you?
If you eat less and exercise more, you will solve the problem and start feeling better about yourself. Now, do you have the guts to do it?
Good luck, mate.

you must find out what is driving your appetite. Search self destructive behavior, emotional health. Obesity or overweight shows an imbalance in the body. It took me years to find my answer. Find out what is driving your appetite. Cutting out all sugar and white flour can help lower your cravings. Sugar and bread are really powerful addictions. People use food to feel better. Sometimes we feel powerless, or frustrated. You must learn to cope with emotional stress in other ways. Best of luck!

Get the junk food out of the house, replace it or have your Mom if she does the shopping buy fruits, yogurt, something more healthy to snack on or eat a bowl of cereal instead of high fat foods

Quit your job. Get a new one that involves constant physical labor, like digging ditches. Seriously.

For the food, you might try always carrying a meal with you or keeping one in your car. If you have a healthy meal on hand, why would you go to McDonald's? So plan ahead.
