Ok, I think brownie mix makes you add oil, water, and egg. I would add the egg, and I would definitely want at least some of the oil, and maybe even a little bit of the water. I'm not sure though. You could just start putting it together and see how it goes.
Unless somebody said "make cookies or else!" I would just make brownies, because if you try to make cookies out of them they might turn out bad and then you have no cookies OR brownies.

Duncanhines.com has recipes for cookie like brownies. Or you could look at the brownie mix ing. and omit those from your cookie recipe like some of the sugar and the salt. Good idea!

I'm sure you could substitute any type of brownie mix in these recipes.
CHOCOLATE BROWNIE MIX COOKIES
1 pkg. (21.5 oz.) Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. vegetable oil
3 tbsp. water
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips or M&M'S®
Combine all ingredients, mixing by hand. Bake until just set at 350 degrees about 9-10 minutes.
BROWNIE CHIP COOKIES
1 pkg. brownie mix (23.7 oz.)
2 eggs
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Combine mix, egg and oil; beat 50 strokes. Stir in chocolate bits and nuts. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet (about 6 dozen).
FUDGE NUT BROWNIE COOKIES
1 (2 1/2 oz.) pkg. fudge brownie mix
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 egg
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets. Combine brownie mix, flour, water, oil, and eggs. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto cookie sheets. Bake 8-12 minutes. Cool 1 minute. Remove from cookie sheets; cool completely. Frost cookie with can of ready to spread chocolate fudge frosting. Makes 3 dozen cookies.

Yes, you can make cookies from brownie mixes or cake mixes. I think they probably use less eggs, but check out this web page I found with several variances using a brownie mix. Sounds yummie, so warm up the oven and you'll have dessert real soon.

It sounds like you're on your way to a new "best seller" cookie!! You know, the first Tollhouse cookie was made by accident, and look at how famous they became!!
I was going to mention Soy powder or Whey powder, but since you ran out and are trying to avoid a trip to the store, I'm not sure that's any more convienient....
Why not just make the brownies though?
mmmmmmmmmmmm brownies...
