From my experience working in the emergency vet clinic, we recommend giving the pet a natural product sold in drug stores called MELATONIN. Sounds like your pet is large, so I would say the 3mg. about 1hr. before you go down for the night. It also helps for fireworks, and other symptoms of nervousness. It comes in 1 or 3mg. tablets If that doesn't help, suggest you contact your vet. There could be other underlying factors, such as humans, did the parents of your pet have the same problems. Hope this helps you a bit. Valium is addictive to pets too.

Hmm, cannot tell if you have three dogs or one mixed pup. They or he probably needs extra exercise because that will wear him out and he will want to sleep. Take him to a dog park and let him romp for at least an hour. If you cannot do this, take him on a long run in the morning and evening. Those breeds are high-energy and need an outlet. They will probably love to play fetch or frisbee, so let him. He will not be content until you wear him out with play and running.

where does it sleep? make sure it has a nice bed and knows that it is supposed to go to sleep. make sure it was plenty of water and food and has been fed a good meal and had a good walk and gone to the bathroom before hand. If nothing you do works, contact a vet or dog specialist.

Ignore anything they do that isn't either asking to go to the bathroom or something they aren't supposed to do. Eventually, they'll get bored and lay down to go to sleep. If you have a crate/carrier that they sleep in, put them in and close the door. They might whine for a while, but they'll eventually get the message and go to sleep.

Have you tried to exercise the dog? Maybe he/she needs more exercise so he/she will get tired. If the weather is too bad for a walk, I have seen dogs using a treadmill.
