best thing that i found so far is to drink a lot of water... like at least 1 + 1/2 a bottle a day... it works wonders, its cheap and easy, just replace juice/pop with water everytime and it should start to clear up pretty soon

You can try all these suggestions from the previous posters, but please keep in mind that they are all temporary (meaning that they'll last no more than a few hours). Witch hazel and alcohol are TERRIBLY irritating to skin, especially on your face. This is the reason that your pores looked "closed": the surrounding skin is so irritated, that it swells, causing the pores to close up). Unfortunately, your pores will stay like that, the best you can do is keep them from getting larger.

I would suggest drinking plenty of water, try the Proactiv for the zits, do NOT use liquid make up or facial powder (this will clog your pores, which will cause them to open more so that they can "breathe"). Also, what is your diet like?

Good luck,

Hello!
Okay, this is what has worked for me and many others I know. Have you heard of Arbonne products? They are a God send. Without a doubt! They have a face set for young and more mature skin. Their products are premium skin care formulated in Switzerland and manufactured in the US. The Intelligence set for the younger has a Thermal Fusion Mask. It has enzymes that are released when water is applied and uses heat to draw out impurities and exfoliates the old skin cells and helps in building new skin cells. Anything, I mean anything that is formulated for the face WILL clear your acne, your large pores. They are pH balanced, dermatologist tested, botanically based, hypoallergenic, no mineral oil, no animal products or by-products and no chemical dyes or fragrances. You can check out this site: www.skinstreasure.myarbonne.com and look around. I am a consultant for Arbonne, and I would not be if the products did not impress me, and they do! You won't be disappointed at all, I promise!

If you can afford it, get two facials about 2-3 weeks apart. That will clear out what you have blocking your pores now. Then the trick is to not overclean your skin, because that just aggravates it, and causes more cells to be deposited in your pores, which clog them, etc.

I have large pores and sensitive skin, and I also had skin cancer when I was young, so I'm very careful about my skin. I recommend Aromabliss products, because they're organic and really work for me. A deep cleanser is 22.00, but it lasts for months!

Proactive totally sucks it will ruine you skin BELIEVE ME! You need to do some microdermabrasion or maybe a chemical peel. They will totally clear up the breakout and the microdermabrasion will lessen the pore size but im sorry your pores are big because you probably have oily skin and until that changes they will be a little bit large. DO NOT PUT ALCOHOL DIRECTLY ON YOUR SKIN!!!

I have the same problem. But however mine I've had since I was 3 and first tried face paint, and over the years they haven't changed too much. I'm still trying to figure out how to make them go away for good!
I used to use Tea-tree oil, it works to make your pores smaller, but causes your skin to be oily, so if you use it make sure you wash your skin after with something hat takes the smell of tea-tree away.

Good luck!

omg use clean and clear warming daily pore cleanser and clean and clear cooling daily pore toner!!

i use the toner and it works wonderfully. u can barley notice my pores (usually large cuz i have oily skin) and it makes ur face feel soo smooth and it LOOKS smooth. plus it smells good.

i've never tried the cleanser but it got a lot of good reviews online.

they are both usually 3-4 dollars at target or walmart.

try it out! :]

i also break out a lot and its mostly on my forehead or cheeks. when i dont have pimples on my forehead, its on my cheeks... and vice versa. the best thing to do is to keep ur hair out of ur face (i have side-swept bangs so i try as much as i can to get it out of the way). also, keep it clean and if its oily, blot it with oil-absorbing sheets from clean and clear, tissue paper, toilet paper (peel the two thin sheets apart and use one of them ot blot), or toilet seat cover (it works jsut as well as the oil absorbing sheets).

also, do not exfoliate! that will only irritate the pimples. use a clay mask that contains sulfur. queen helene mint julep masque is a popular and well-loved sulfur mask. dot some over ur pimples and leave it on overnight. it will shrink or disapear by morning. and use the mask all over to smooth ur whole face but only leave it on for the instructed time.

use zit gels that contains benzoyl peroxide or salicycal acid. and use toners (such as the clean and clear daily pore one i recommended) not harsh irritating astringents that will strip away ur natural oils and forces it to produce much more oil than needed.

Witch Hazel is a great way to tighten pores.
You can also use lemon juice, the acid can help get rid of oil.But if you have sensetive skin,it might irritate the skin.

My grandmother taught me if you wet your face with warm water then wash and rinse with cold water it helps close the pores up to keep dirt/oil from getting inside.

If worse comes to worse...Burts Bees facial products work really well for me!
