What effect do you think songs like Ricardo Arjona's "El mojado" have on the issue of illegla immigration?

One of the lines is
"El mojado tiene ganas de secarse
El mojado està mojado por las làgrimas que gota, la nostalgia
El mojado, el indocumentado, carga el bulto que legal no cargaría, ni el obligado"

It roughly translates to
The ******* wants to dry himself off
The ******* is wet because of the tears he has shed, the nostalgia
The *******, the undocumented worker, carries the burden that the legal man, the obligate one, wouldn't.

Like I said, it's a really rough translation, but that's basically the main theme of the song

When there is so much inequity in the world, there is not much hope for peace. That being said, we can only accommodate so many people in our country without a serious impact on our American way. This is a prosperous country with a proud heritage. The guy on the other side of the border fence is crying his own tears of nostalgia on the American side, remembering how it was before every one was speaking spanish.

Are you serious? I'm having serious doubts that many Americans are fans of Ricardo Arjona.

I don't know, I have not heard the song and if it is in Spanish, I may not understand whatever message the song is trying to convey.

Most people have never heard of this person. You should change your name. It doesn't suit you.

You give some dude's name that absolutely NO ONE here has probably heard of.. So I think you've already answered your own question.
