1st- you can dye dark hair pink without bleaching it just doesn't last as long..Paul Mitchell has a great pink color called INK..you can use without bleaching prior to coloring but it wouldn't be as vibrant..
2nd-no.. bleach doesn't always ruin your hair..bleach does damage when left on the hair to long or from repeated applications...condition good before and after and it will be fine..if your going to bleach prior to adding the pink..you don't need to bleach to a platium blonde..just enough to lighten you natural color so as to allow the pink it really show it's stuff..

you need to leave this to a professional. I am a hairdresser so i know what i am talking about. There are products available in salons that will bleach and colour the hair at the same time. Other than that you cannot go straight to pink without using bleach. Ask about Wella Magma or L oreal majicontrast. These are so easy to use but are not available in the shops. Also the stylist needs to do tests ie, compatibility to check for metallic compounds in any previous colours already present in the hair, elasticity test, porosity tests to check for condition of the hair, if the hair could withstand any colouring and bleaching services. If you really want to have a go yourself, make sure you carry out a strand test!

Bleach lifts the pigment out of your hair which is a harsh chemical proccess. Depending on the start colour of your hair and the finish colour will determind the damage. The bigger the gap the more damage. A range called Belavance do a dark pink called Magenta Red but this is only a salon range. I'd recommend phoning the company L'anza and ask them what salons in your area stocks Belavance colour as it doesn't need bleaching first and is lush and even! I'd then phone the salon and book in for a fashion colour! Hope that helps.

You'll need to bleach it first in order for it to show its true colour, but it IS possible just to stick a darker shade of pink over light brown hair (I've done it). Having said that, bleaching is the best way to go. And I've been bleaching mine for 10 years and it's still there - just got to be careful with it, treat it well and keep it trimmed.
If you look on my 360 page (Grrrls' night out) you should find a pic of me with the bleach and baby pink hair. The baby pink WOULD NOT show up if I didn't bleach it first...check out my roots ;-)

No, because your hair is dark, the lighter color wont show properly without heavy bleaching. You could try Kevin Murphy Color Bug? Its the only other thing that comes in cotton candy pink. Dont bleach your hair though, it will ruin it, and it sounds like you have GORGEOUS hair!

No, if you have dark hair, you have to bleach out the color first, then dye it whatever color you want.
Bleach does not hurt your hair if it's used properly.
I would suggest going to a reliable beautician to have this done, it's not something to try on your own.

I'm afraid not. It's hard to COLOUR over dark hair COLOUR.
Bleach does not always ruin your hair. Just be sure to use a deep conditioner and you should be ok.

I tried colouring my hair red once without bleaching it. It resulted in me merely having reddish tones on my hair.

no bleach doesn't ruin your hair it just strips the color out of it.
and I would bleach it before you dye it pink or what ever color if it's not a natural color.
