what are the eating habits of toy poodles?

I have a toy poodle (10 lbs), and he is super picky with his food. He mostly eats canned dog food. We started out with Triumph, but the vet said it's not as healthy, so we've switched to Science Diet, which he likes. We feed him twice a day, about 1/3 of the can at each feeding. Sometimes he eats it and sometimes he doesn't. We also give him a couple treats per day. He always has water during the day and until 8pm at night (to prevent accidents in the night).

We feed ours hard food. The nuggets are very small. She has food in her bowl all the time, but usually waits and eats when we do. Some days she doesn't eat very much at all. She does not get table scraps at all, however we do give her a small treat when we leave the house. We also cut up a baby carrot for her once a day, which she eats while we eat dinner. She is 3 years old and weighs almost 5 pounds which her vet says is perfect.

The poodles at the pet store I work at eat three times a day a quarter cup a day. But they're puppies so they need to eat more often than bigger dogs. They eat hard food because they need the chewing exercise and moist food causes plaque to build up faster.

Ok the eating habits are well soft food if your dog can't tolarate it try dry not that either try both.Time franklly I would say evening or morning and evening.

I have a min, and we have to spoon feed him, or he will NOT eat!
also- do not get a poodle if you have other pets, they are VERY jealous! and will show you how jealous they are every time yiou are away!
