No shedding, biting, and I don't like prissy dogs.

Its going to be difficult to find a non prissy, non shedding, really good with children dog :D With small children its not advisable to get a large breen dog... they can knock over children without meaning to. Some dogs that are really good with kids are, pugs, bulldogs, Boston terriers... Anything made to be a companion dog is going to be good for families.

You also want to steer clear of Terriers... they are hyper and tend to get aggressive or territorial. They were bred to chase things like raccoons and foxes so they are tough and don't take crap from anything. That's not the attitude you want with children. Again, keep away from herding breeds, they are high strung and need lots of space and exercise and can be destructive if not given a dog.

Good luck and happy hunting.

Visit your local animal shelter . It has lots of animals and the staff can help you choose just the right pet for your family. Don't go to a breeder...we already have too many animals who are looking for a loving home.

A Bichon Frise would be a good choice. It's nonshedding, hypoallergenic, and it won't bite if you train it not to. I'm not really sure what you mean by prissy though.

I would suggest no dog at all. Aside from poodles and hairless dogs, all dogs shed. Every dog has the ability to bite and IMO, you don't sound mature enough to raise a dog.
For everyone's sake, don't get one.

Chinese Pugs. Best dog in the world. Smart, does not shed, awesome family dog. Our pug even gets along with our cats. They are not the most attracive dog in the world, but it is so easy to fall in love with one.

Depends what you mean by "indoor dog." While I am extremely partial to labs and golden retrievers, they definitely need a yard and lots of exercise. GREAT family pets though :-)

A Jack Russell might be a good choice, I have know ones that are good with children, they are generally fearless, (as are most terriers) and they are short coated so you wont have much vacuuming to do from loose hairs either
