That's a new one to me. I have high blood pressure and my kid isn't that way. My father had high blood pressure and I'm not that way. Oh wait, someone called me a retard earlier on Yahoo! Answers so maybe I am. NOT!
About the only thing is your children might inherit your high blood pressure and if you are thinking of having children you need to discuss the high blood pressure with your OB/GYN as they will need to monitor you during your pregnancy. My OB/GYN was shocked that my blood pressure remained normal during my pregnancy.

First of all there are many medical procedures for women who have high blood pressure and who are pregnant. Second of all in this day in age there are so many preventions in conceiving a child with special needs. Before you decide to become pregnant go see your doctor, to go through your medical history, and to find out your options. Also there are a whole lot of other words you can use other than mentally retarded...that is a hurtful label, just to let you know for future use.

Some one has given you a story that is not true. Having high blood preasure is a problem for you if you are pregnant & you should be monitored closely during the pregnancy. If you are not pregnant now is the time to get it under control. You need the advice & care of a Dr. to do this. This condition can cause you other health problems. Time to take it seriously is now.
