call me......

I have not heard "give me a yell", but "give me a shout" is a reference to the old idea of going to a friend's house and shouting for the friend to come out.

Today it is just a request for a phone call.

Take care,
Troy

A shout out is a public acknowledgement of your friends, usually on free radio.

A public acknowledgment or hello to your friends on the radio or television. Hope this is helpful. God bless
