B/c male ducks have green necks, and females are completely brown.

yes.. those are there baby feathers.They don't grow adult feathers till they are close to a year old.There just temporary!!

Those are called mallard ducks. Males have pretty green rings around their necks to impress the females. The females have no reason to impress males.

If a duck is yellow as a baby, it will be white, if it is brown, it will be green

the males bright color is for attracting a mate for breeding purposes, so as babies they do not need this coloring yet as they are not at breeding age. At this age they need to be inconspicuous as not to be seen and eaten by predators...so they need to blend into the environment. Once they reach adulthood they will get their "breeding" plumage.

all the baby ducks I've seen were yellow

It's camoflauge to protect them from predators since they are little and helpless.

its like dalmations they all start out white Then they have differant spots. All animals lose their baby fuzz!!!!!

they will later shed those feathers and get new bigger and longer adult feathers, it is best if they are camouflaged while young.
