ok i have 2 questions. i have a hernia (i think) seeing dr in a couple weeks. i don't have any insurance. how long can i put off the surgery? i am having no pain at all with this. so if i can delay surgery for a few months, and i get some insurance. will insurance companies consider hernia a pre-existing condition and deny me coverage? does anyone know how this works?

I am about to have a hernia operation. I have had it for about 7 years (that I know of). It is bothersome from time to time, but if it doesn't bother you much, you can live with it.

They have no way of knowing how long you have had it. They can't deny it for pre-existing.

I have to pay 20% - my total cost will be around $600.00 - so I would wait until you have insurance.
