Not really. Cat food often has a lot of ash in it and your puppy shouldn't eat that. And the kittens should eat food which is appropriate for them, too.
I don't think it will kill them.... but you want them to be healthy, right?

Most important: Feed your animals GOOD pet food, like Solid Gold, which is a premium pet food found at some pet stores but you can also find it at:

It is more expensive but you will save the money in vet bills.

I have a four month old chihuahua, too.
I just put my cats food up off the floor so my chihuahua can't get to it. I suggest you do the same.
Get your puppy on a regular feeding schedule to prevent the kittens from eating the puppy food.

Your chihuahua should be eating puppy food - particularly at this young age while their joints are still developing. Likewise the kitty would be best on cat food.. try keeping the cat's food up and only feeding the puppy at specific times, making sure he eats.

NO! Cat's need what is called taurine in order to survive and it is found in cat food not dog food. By not getting this supplement cats will go blind and eventually die. Cats need more protein than dogs do so their food contains more. A dog that eats cat food will develop kidney problems as there is too much protein for their body to handle. Cat food is too calorically dense for a dog and the dog will get fat.
Cats and dogs have different diet needs that is why there are different foods for them. Stop this habit now before it is too late and they will not go back to their own food.

YUP! I had a cat that lived to 23, healthy and ate dog food all his life. That is just what he liked. My sister's cat ate dog food and cat food, whatever was out and he lived to 21! I would still offer cat food to the cat but he should be ok. Now the dog is another story. Cat food won't kill them but you will have a lovely mess to clean up each time he eats. Try to keep the dog out of the cat's food.

Dogs and cats require somewhat different nutrients in their diets. While I don't think it would hurt if it happened once in a while on accident, I wouldn't allowing them to eat the others' food on a regular basis.

It's normal, but not okay. Cat food contains ash which is bad for dogs. Place the cat food up a bit so the cat can reach it.

No. Dogs and cats require a different balance of nutrients. Although this would do no harm in the short term it could be detrimental to health in the long term.
