Existence is a matter of limitations. God can move into and out of existence. When God is out of existence, God is absolutely infinite, but in order to be in existence God must accept a bit of limitation. So yes, sometime God can fail.

Notice that whatever He pleases, He DOES. No maybe about it. God is absolutely sovereign.
