What is wrong with people ? Are you that insecure?

I always see the questions (usually from the new people) that say
"what is your religion?"

this is a very simple question that asks for a very simple answer.

yet i see constant thumbs down ratings based only on the religion of the answerer. the rating system was designed to rate answers for the information contained. not to protest people because you do not like their beliefs.

do you all believe that your god(s) will punish you if you do not belittle and segregate everyone that does not agree with you?

if not then why do you act this way?

if so why the bloody HE** would you offer worship to a ruthless
diety like that?

i have given my share of thumbs down, and said some nasty things to some of you. but my comments are based on the attitude of the person that i am addressing not their choice of religion. I sure am not a saint, but some of you seem to lack any social skills.

I am American. if you refer to some typo or bad spelling. at least i make an attempt to write entire words. and do not use slang spelling on a regular basis.

for the rest, i really do not care about the thumbs up or thumbs down ratings. it is the bigotry and racisim involved in judgeing someone based only on their religion.
then you thumbs down someone based only on their religion you are trying to say that their religion is wrong. and that is bigotry in the least. and is not taught in any religion that i know of.

People feel very insecure today.
Few are involved with their community, and only have the media telling them what to think, or worse a bad religious leader - one with intolerance of others as the main theme every sermon.
In reference to why a faith thumbs down another: The Bishop in San Diego did this once, during a Spanish mass, the old "us" and "them", (I was blissfully unaware) - but my wife speaks Spanish and asked about this and was told she miss heard him! (She was pissed, and we never returned to that area.)
This is just a way to control people - which in turn controls money. If a religion looses people it looses money, like a TV station during sweeps. Same thing.
Hopefully the thumbs up/down means the statement is flawed for the answer, like you know.
But again you are right in thinking these people use it to "fight" for their cause. Sad but true.
That's why I stay here - there is always something funny to observe. And people are funny.

It is all about respect. And that is respecting all faiths and beliefs and even ratings, for we cannot honestly know the attitudes unless they are harsh and arrogant with words. I do agree that so many do not have Respect for anyone on here no matter what they believe in or say. It is not Godly or should I say respecting of others.

I often wonder the same, I see constant thumbs down for catholics and athiests. with those questions I only give a thumbs up if its my faith, and a thumbs down if the answer insults someones faith.
