No human can forgive sins.

God allows humans to forgive each other on acts that harm the rest of the living...however...some crimes, I reckon would not be forgiven by God, even if I have forgiven someone for doing them.

Why? Because I dont know what lies in peoples hearts. Only He does. So HE in His infinite wisdom, might chose to forgive or not to forgive depending on the persons sincerity.

This is why, when faced with a man who hurts you in some way, you must pray, may God forgive him, if you want his own good.

In the Bible the pharisees said that God alone can forgive sins, but since that time there is some evidence that there is no God, or that God no longer takes a role -- that would leave us in a quandry sort of -- unless there is some legal device whereby sins can be forgiven. I would like to hear some feedback on that.

No human being can forgive sins by his own power; however, God can ordain certain human beings to minister His forgiveness, as when He told the Apostles, "whose sins YOU forgive, they are forgiven them". The Apostles and their direct successors, Catholic priests, can therefore forgive the sins of men in the name of God.

If you are a Christian, God will forgive your sins. The Bible says that you will be "White as snow." God offers us forgiveness for our sins and because we are His children, He expects us to bear some resemlence to him in His nature. We are commanded to forgive others as He forgives us. Mat 18 21-22 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?"
Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.
What Jesus meant by seventy seven times was that we are not even to try to keep track of how many times we forgive someone.
