In France they take a Sabre and knock the neck of the bottle off but you can open the bottle prying the cork up with a screw driver, while setting the bottle down hard on a towel on the counter and wiggling the cork free. Pushing the corck in the bottle makes it taste bad and you get all those little bits in the wine from the cork.

Take a long screw. Screw it into the center of the cork - but not all the way through. Use a pair of plyers or other device to grab the top of the screw and pull it out, cork included. Another method is to slowly bang the bottom of the bottle against a door jamb. The Cork will slowly start to come out. When its out far enough, grab it and pull it out the rest of the way with your hand.

Assuming the object is to get the wine out of the bottle without worrying about presentations etc.
Peel off the foil or plastic cap by hand. Use the finger of your choice to push the cork into the bottle. Pour and enjoy.
You do have fingers with you at all times, don't you?

in many cases while the cork crumbles under the corkscrew you have a dry cork from storing the wine vertically, permitting the cork to dry out. yet another uncomplicated difficulty is a poorly designed corkscrew. look for a corkscrew that has a pointy element and that's no longer too tight. What I mean by way of "tight" is you desire a screw that has coils that are spaced a minimum of one million/4". This facilitates forestall breaking the cork. yet an option determination is to apply a cork "puller" that makes use of two somewhat concave metallic tines which you slide in around the cork. As you pull, the tines will grab the cork and you will no longer injury it. chuffed sipping!

Well...after my brother's wedding reception several of us were back at their room and we decided to sample a bottle of wine they'd gotten as a present. But there was no corkscrew! The best man took off his shoe and proceeded to smack the bottom of the bottle with the heel until the cork started coming out and kept it up 'til enough was out to pull it the rest of the way with his fingers. Impressive!!

You should not steal that expensive wine, only steal the ones with the screw on caps.
