Your supplementary information suggests the you knowingly do not have a valid copy of XP. That being the case how are you getting updates?

Every month Microsoft release updates, they also validate the windows installation.

An in-validated installation means no updates, which also means an insecure operating system.

Oh well I'm sure you know what you are doing.

I've just downloaded media player 11, its very good.

The WGA in XP was cracked some time ago. All you need are 3 modified dlls which you use to overwrite the "genuine" ones in windows\system32.

WgaTray.exe
WgaLogon.dll
LegitCheckControl.dll

These remove all the "non-genuine" nags in XP and also remove the "star" in the system tray. XP gets totally sanitized and is even able to get genuine updates.

I have copies of the cracked dlls (for laboratory study only of course!). Enough said lol...

If you want to get it get a genuine version of windows. That's the only way, if you don't want it you don't get the software. That's how microsoft is trying to cut down illegal copies of windows, no legal copy, no updates.

Its a waste of time trying to hack a micrsoft app unless you have alot of time on your hands. Microsoft doesn't have very much of their software in open source(anyone can veiw code) so its hard to know how to bypass that.

Do a search......"hacker." rofl. If you were such a hacker, you wouldn't be running windows you moron. Get linux, you can download programs that will allow the .wmv extension to play. And if you were as much of a "hacker" as you think, you would know that there are other programs that play .wmv files. Do a search, and brush up on your "skills" in hacking. Fruitcake.

i think theres a Winxp cd-key changer program, youl have to change the key till you get one that it thinks is valid. you might have to reinstall windows with the new key though.
