My tv has resently shrunk about an inch on the boreder. Also it is has a blue border on 1 side and a orangish border on the other. It is a 65in. sony tv hdtv. it makes the bottom all blurry. could it be my comcast box? or something else?

What you described with the blue border, indicates that the color convergences are off. I would think that letter characters displayed on the screen will show the same blue and orange borders...

The question is, why.

You mentioned that the picture has shrunk also, that would indicate that deflection is also suffering. The deflection problem is probably a contributor to the color alignment problem. Sometimes these issues are related to problems with the oscilator circuits that deflect the beams across the screen.

Your problem is very likely in the TV itself.

IMPORTANT: Never disassemble your TV. There are high voltages inside (much higher than the wall outlet) which can persist long after the set has been turned off. (sometimes weeks)

HDTV? id say you either need to get a TV repair man to look at it, or you need to go through the options. mabye you turned on the option "make the borders all wierd"
