Exodus 20:8-11
The seventh day is the Lord's Day because God rested from all His work on that day and hallowed (made holy) it. As we all know it is Saturday. Some people say we can never know for sure that it is in fact Saturday and that days have changed since creation. You therefore have to search for the truth yourself and not rely on what people tell you. As a start, what I do is try to find out what Saturday translates to in other languages.
In Spanish, it is Sábado, from the word sabbath.
Italian - Sabato
Greek - Σάββατο
Portuguese - Sábado
Russian - Суббота
So there you have it. The translation of Saturday to other languages resembles Sabbath. However, the Roman church changed it. That is why most people worship on a Sunday and claim that the 1st day the Lord's Day. They also say they worship on the 1st day because Jesus rose on the 1st day. Nothing is wrong with worshiping on the 1st day BUT you must recognise that the 7th day which is the sabbath day is the day of rest, the Lord's Day.
There is an organised system now changing the calendars to make Monday the 1st day of the week and Sunday the 7th day. This is because knowledge has increased and more people are recognising the true sabbath. The 1st day is man's day and even if you change the calendar to make it the 7th day it is still man's day. Saturday is the original sabbath given by God. I would rather obey God than man. It is the Lord that determines what His day is. No man can change the Lord's day. God says "I am the Lord your God, I change not". He has not changed his day and it remains the 7th day until the end of time.
Remember that Satan was cast out of heaven into Earth. He is busy trying to confuse us and one of the mediums he uses is the church and our pastors. That is why there is so much division in the christain society and so many different religions and denominations with each claiming to be the true one. The church of Rome made the change a long time ago during the Dark Ages and the Bible was taken away from everyone. Believers in Christ were persecuted for having a Bible. That is why it is important to seek God for yourself. Keep searching for the truth with earnest prayer and supplication and you will certainly find it. Remember my friend that the answers to all your questions are found in God's words. If God did not instruct it do not do it. If man changed it reject it. God is superior to man everytime. All the best and remember that God loves you. Love Him back by obeying His words. Read more at these links:

Tares will develop along with the well seed, (the kids of the dominion - Matt.thirteen:38, Acts.17:29, Gal.three:26, the wheat - Matt.thirteen:30) to the top. Tares are the ones Jesus will profess He certainly not knew (Matt.7:23, Lk.thirteen:17); they're Gentiles (a million Thess.four:five, Eph.two:12), Satan’s youngsters (Ps.fifty eight:three, Jn.eight:37-forty seven, Jn.three:eight-10, Jn.three:12, Matt.thirteen:38, Re.two:nine). The so called "Lord's day" is Sunday, which is the first day of the week. Although the seventh day Sabbath or Shabbot is a day of rest that God gave His people, most Christians celebrate the Sabbath on Sunday and call it the "Lord's Day." There are several theories about how Sabbath observance moved from the last day of the week (Saturday) to the first (Sunday). Some speculate that the change was the result of Christ's resurrection on Sunday. Sunday was also the day that the Roman cult Mithra set aside to assemble to worship its sun deity and the day that the Roman emperor Constantine legislated as a day of rest dedicated to the Greek/Roman sun god.

The Apostles designated Sunday as the Lord's Day because it was the day of His glorious Resurrection from the dead. The Jewish Sabbath had been on Saturday (and still is), but the Apostles believed, and rightly so, that the day of Christ's Resurrection was a more fitting day to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass than the day He lay dead in the tomb. Therefore we see in Scripture that the early Church met to celebrate the Eucharist, "the breaking of the bread", on the first day of the week, Sunday.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. It took God 6 days to make everything. On the seventh day, he rested.
Now, most people would think that that would mean that Saturday was the Lord's day.
However, celebrating the Sabbath on Saturday ended along time ago, thanks to the Catholic church, and so now we observe it on Sunday. (At least most do, there are still some who celebrate it on Sat.)
