I have long hair and take really good care of it. It is healthy with no split ends or anything but I was wondering what other people think of long hair. Pretty or not so much?

Thanks!

If you personally love your hair it shouldn't matter what other people do- if anything your friends may be sending you mixed messages because your hair causes more attention to be focused on you. As you get older, it does seem like longer hair is a faux-pas in the workplace but the great thing is that you are young. Your teenage years are for experimentation so have long hair as you wish- just make sure that they aren't looking at you because your hair is in such bad condition. Pretty long hair is attractive but ratted long hair is not. Just take care of it and when you finally do decide to cut it off, give it to locks of love. It may be able to make wigs for 2 cancer patients!

I think it's really pretty if the person takes care of it. Some girls have very long hair with no volume and it just falls straight on their backs...It looks a bit tacky when they allow that to happen cuz it gets stringy and ehh dirty

I have long hair too. I really like long hair although it's a pain to take care of at times. I've had really long hair and really short hair, and the long hair is better. The worst thing with your hair is when you're trying to grow out it a really short hair cut, I felt so funny looking when I was trying to grow out my hair.

It's only tacky if is
1.) Fake, or a weave thats badly done
2.) Long and tangled and dirty
3.) Not in good shape...
4.) Has a scrunchie in it (doesn't count if you are at home in your pajamas! heh)

Doesn't sound like your hair falls into those categories! Don't worry. You're good to go. Just remember to get it trimmed every few months to keep it healthy!

Tacky? No, not at all.

If it's healthy and kept nice, I think long hair very pretty. I got fed up with mine when I tried to have it. It was always splitting and falling down when I tried to put it up, etc, so I cut mine. But if you like yours, be proud of it!

I have long hair also. I think you have to be careful how you cut it and wear it. If you just let it hang one length without doing anything to it it looks outdated. I get mine cut in long layers, with the front layers sort of short (sorta like Jessica Simpson's hair). I also get a semi permanent color (dark brown) to keep it super shiny.

No, It is not tacky as long as it is taken care of like you said. I loved my long hair and I am currently letting it grow back put because I really miss it.

In an email I read the other day, it said 89% of people like girls more if they have long, healthy hair.
