We stayed for a couple of days in Blackpool last summer ,
in the Edwardian hotel , it was a hell hole, the centre of the
town and its beach front buildings need upgrading, but we
had a great time in the tower and the pleasure beach.

Southend on sea, Essex is a pretty cool place with all the arcades, rides etc, plus we've got the longest pier in the world and great nightlife!:-)

It's tacky, certainly, but fun, fun, fun! I love it. The tower is great. The pleasure beach is great. The noise and the bustle and the piers and the donkeys are great. The sandunes are great. Long live Blackpool.

Yep Blackpool's great, but it needs a good face-lift, the seafront buildings especially. Transport links need to be looked at, trains changing at Preston a pain. Also need to look at pubs, there's few really good real ale pubs.

I like it too, I think its appeal is that it has something for all ages, kids, clubbers and pensioners.
