Can one use a shipping label on a standard 4 1/8" x 9 1/2"envelope?

I am sending out invitations for a party and bought shipping labels, instead of regular labels and return address labels to cut costs. Before i print them out, i wanted to be sure that this is acceptable. It sounds like a dumb question probably, but, just thought i'd try to get an answer from someone out there. Thanx. Vickie

It doesn't really matter what you use as long as you can see the address of the recipient.

Better call the Post Office to find out. Envelopes are run through machines, and the return address so close to the person's address could confuse the machine.
