That's a slap in the face, for him to leave you for another woman and then have the nerve to tell you, he still wants to be friends, it's like he doesn't even care, that he's hurt you. Did he ever apologize to you, for hurting you? If I were you, I would stay clear of him, don't allow him to call you or anything. I don't know how your sex life was with him, but don't allow him to come over and sleep with you, whenever he can't get sex, from his current girlfriend, never allow any man, to do you like that. I'm sure he wants to remain friends, so that he can sneak around with you, behind her back. Cut all tie's and don't listen to his lie's! You are in control of yourself, he's not in control of you. There are other men out there, that will love and cherish you, for who you are. You keep your head held high, consider it his stupidity, for letting you go. Remember, cut all tie's with him, don't give him the opportunity, to talk his way back into your life! You're stronger than what you think!

it seems you have already answered your own question...just the fact that whenever you see him upsets you means that you arent ready for him to be around you, so when and if that time comes when you are ready then be friends again if not then dont bother.

if i were you, you shoula accept that guy is not your true love. you can be his friend but as what you said it hurts...maybe it is not the right time that you will have a BF. you can' win at everthing but you can try.
