To the Pitt bull haters:
Pitt bulls who are trained as fighting dogs tend to be very very friendly to humans bc humans will check them from head to toe b4 the fight to make sure its a fair fight. These dogs tend to only be vicious to other dogs. Watch PBS once in awhile.

Thankx for posting this.
And for all those that are saying they just turn. That is a breeding thing. As in all dogs, and people, you will find the odd one that has a cross nature, this type of trait is sought by people that run dog fights.
The dogs you talk of that just turned were probably from families that had history of this. To those people I reach out to you and remind you that YOU MUST research your breeder before buying any pouch!!!! Also there is a large percnetage of the population that has no idea what a pitbull looks like. These dogs are just getting most of the bad wrap because of a coupe of dogs.
I know more people that were attacked by chihuahuas then any other dog. Why are they not getting the hype? Oh ya because they are little.

I have seen this and many others. I have always thought it is the human and not the dog. Yes there are pits raised by people in a loving kind way that as turned. There as been other breeds that as done the same. My niece owned a lab, kind well mannered dog, raised in the best way. He trained and put her son in the hospital. Austin almost lost his eye. dogs are wolfs, they have all their wild instincts deep in them and sometimes they come out. Dogs should never be allowed to be alone with small children.
I say any breed can kill, a six pound dog killed a six week old baby, any breed can kill. Pit bulls have that bad rap but in the past so *** German Shepard's, dobies, mastiffs and many others. The pit bull for years was used as this countries symbol of pride and courage. The most decorated army dog and the one who started the army K-9 unit was Sarg. Studdie, a pit bull who saved the lives of the men in his unit.Pits are used as service dogs for the handicapped, that is what my service dog is, as police dogs, drug sniffers and sar dogs . There is over 5 million pits in this coutry if, They are the most poplular breed, if they are as bad as the hype there would be more than 3 deaths a year casued by pit bulls. By the way two of those desths were in the line of duty by police dogs.

Unfortunately we never get the good stories about pit bulls. Over the years I have heard conflicting "facts" about these dogs. There are some who swear that they are sweet, loving, affectionate animals. But there are more who say that they are vicious and that this behavior is innate. One story that I will never forget is where the pb tipped the baby out of the bassinet and mauled it to death. The mother went on camera saying that the dog was so sweet and that they always let the dog in the house.
I did watch this video, but being the critical thinker that I am, there are too many variables for the stats to mean anything. This site is in support of the pb, so of course there is a bias.
Whether they are trained to be vicious or not, I don't like them and I am afraid of them. This only comes from the stories I have heard. I know dogs are trained to attack, but what about those who weren't? It seems that no one really knows for sure. I do know that if my little dog wants to attack me, it won't be able to kill me.

MAN, MAN, MAN!!!! This is so terrible I couldn't even stand to watch it all!!!!! My daughter has two pits and they are in the house with my two granddaughters. They have had them for years and have never shown a sign of viciousness. I feel when these men fight these dogs and hopefully get caught, they should be put in a ring together and fight till the near death. That is what they deserve.I went back and finished watching this and I was happy to see they showed the true side of the Pits.

awww that was so cool. i have a pit and ive had 2 others before. the one i have now loves kids, adults, dogs, cats. he LOVES everything. its a real good thing that u showed that and i hope that people will change there minds about them. and i think that there are the best breeds of dog to own. and it makes me very mad to see what man can do to pits just for money. if they want money so bad they can go get a damn job. i wanted to cry when i saw the pits all beaten up. and i was happy to see the ones who have nice homes with adults owning them, kids, and even the older people. im very happy that u showed this vidoe. and ur hearing all of this from a 16yr old. lol. i love pits and always will.

There's a few more videos like this on YouTube.com. Just search for pit bulls.

And for the person above me, dog aggression and human aggression are two totally different things. One has nothing to do with the other.

They are/were not bred to be mean, they were bred to fight, nothing more, nothing less. Fighting & mean are not the same.
How many pro fighters are mean out of the ring?
This is a touchy subject for me because my Buddy was killed by an Officer 6 feet from my front door in front of my children.
I think its Time for Humans to Stop Attacking Pit Bulls
