How do I take a screen shot with my Apple Ibook?

Im used to microsoft, and I wanted to take a screen shot with my ibook to send to a friend. How do I do that?

command-shift-4 to capture a select area
command-shift-4, then spacebar to capture a window
command-shift-3 to capture the whole screen

Hit ctrl, print screen button at the same time on your keyboard. Press it when you have the screen you want to save. Then it should ask you where you want to save it to.

i'm not very good with apples cause I don't have one but try some of the f1-f12 buttons. Hope this helps.
