I'm travelling to NYC in Dec '06, and have never seen a Broadway show. Any specific shows in that time that would be good? Currently I'm leaning towards Phantom of the Opera.

I suggest that you go to TKTS ...

If you love the theater but need a break from retail prices, visit Duffy Square, the center island of 47th Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue for TKTS.

Established in 1973 for the betterment of theatres and theatre- goers alike, TKTS sells unsold tickets on the day of performance for all Broadway shows for 25-50% off the box office price plus a $3.00 service charge per ticket.

Of the following, I would suggest Phantom of the Opera, Chicago or The Producers.

Jersey Boys
• Radio City Christmas Spectacular
• Phantom of the Opera
• Chicago
• Mamma Mia!
• The Producers
• Avenue Q
• Hairspray
• The Lion King
• Wicked
• Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
• Spamalot

Ok i just got back from NYC and phantom was nice... if you want a surprise good show that might be cheaper, do to jersey boys and hairspray both good... otherwise must see is tarzan and phantom.... lion king i did not like, but beauty and the beast was good as well..... and look for cheap tickets from agents on the streets or some have a lotery, like rent and others then you pay 25 for real good seats!! anyway have fun and the producers sucked!!

i could truthfully advise wicked or Legally Blonde. Phantom is going to be too dull for the adolescents and a few people would desire to locate Chicago a sprint mature for a 14 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous. Mamma Mia is likewise solid and distinctive exciting, yet i think of wicked is a greater coach often - the instruments, costumes and song are all amazing. Legally Blonde is significantly better than you're able to think of, and doubtless the main properly-proper for teenage females. It has a brilliant message and if the adolescents watched the fact coach on MTV, that's going to be cool to verify the winner in guy or woman.

Phantom is awesome, I didn't see it on Broadway, but the Broadway production came to Albuquerque. The special effects are awesome and if you know the story, then it's even better. Also I'd recommend Wicked...I haven't seen it, but it sounds like fun. :)
