You have your receipt, and method of payment?
If you used a credit card ,then ring them and see if they can offer assistance.
Call your Citizens Advice Bureau in the U.K.
All goods should perform their function under the Trade Descriptions Act, this is the act you can return it under.
If they are trying to "snow" you into accepting this broken product you need to get some help.
Good luck

its probably under some sort of warranty if you bought it new.
You may contact the manufacturer and explain what happened and that the retail store would not take the item back. If that fails, tell the store you will be notifying the Attorney General of the state unless they make good. If they don't, then DO contact the AG's office and also the Better Business Bureau.
Good luck
Im sensing from the letter above that you might not be in the USA. If so, Im sorry, I dont know who you should call...

Ring the company that made your tv and tell them your situation.
They should help you out. If not you could go to small claims court and sew.

no one incredibly needs a broken liquid crystal reveal television the two. in maximum situations they might't be repaired and that they often fee greater to 'fix' (i.e. replace liquid crystal reveal) then to easily purchase a sparkling one. that is maximum unlikely you will hit upon a client, yet i assume that is achieveable (extremely if the liquid crystal reveal reveal itself continues to be in tact).
