I thought about E -mailing the local synagogue too ask them but then worry that might not be a good idea they might find it rude

just search online or in the yellow pages for a kosher butcher or a kosher restaurant. Some sell meats also.

Sorry I'm not much help, I found meat disgusting so I became a vegetarian. It's a much gentler way of life.

when you buy your kosher meat, you should look for a little K in a circle on the package. that means that the product is kosher.

Kosher simply refers to the method that the animal from which the meat comes is slaughtered and prepared for Jewish people to eat. It will still be raw meat when you get it and will be gross.
You cannot tell the difference.

Nob Hill Foods sometimes carry kosher foods as well.

find an amish comunity and buy it from them.
