The Bible says: Thy body is a temple, yet hippies and bums don't bathe, cover themselves in filth, and so often fill thier bodies with alcohol and drugs.

The Bible says: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Yet hippies and bums just leach off of the hard, honest work of others.

The Bible says: Put no other Gods before me. Yet hippies seemingly bow to the idol that they call the bong, while bums kneel before almighty alcohol.

The Bible repeatedly promotes the virtues of hard, honest work, yet bums and hippies are almost phobic of both.

I think, however, that Go's least favorite thing about them is that hippies have a bumper sticker which says "Jesus was a hippie" just because the man had a beard and wore sandals.

You try shaving before metal was invented. Try finding anything but sandals in a desert climate before Nike. Poor guy.

Actually, in response to everyone saying that God doesn't hate, I would like to direct your attention to the God of the old testament, who is wrathful, vengeful, and one could easily argue hateful. Since God is supposed to be eternal, I would argue that he cannot possibly have changed his spots all the way, and must therefore still be quite capable of hate.

Um, no, God does not hate "hippies" and "bums". They all get the same chance of redemption as "cleaned up" sinners.

BTW, there was forged metal and shaving implements back in Jesus' day. There were other shoes available besides sandals, too, it was just the shoe of choice for the area.

The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for that would believe. He died for the sinner not the righteous ,man. Romans 5: 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Christ died for the hippies and bums if they truly believe that Christ died for their sins. If they trust what He did on the cross for them the Holy Spirit put them into the body of Christ (the church) and they become a new creature. 1 Corinthians 12: 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

judgmental christian, go figure! I've been called a hippy because I love the earth and I smell great, I just bathed with castille soap and I don't smoke pot nor do I drink. I do shave if I have time, I'm a mother so that's rare. I don't wear Nike's because of their business practices.

God loves hippies and bums, He just loves them too much to leave them that way.

Mark 2:15 And as he reclined at table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners were reclining with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. 16 And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, "Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?" 17 And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."

If they come to Christ they will receive power to live a changed life. By the time they get to Heaven they'll be a lot more like Jesus and a lot less like they were when they started out.

Romans 8:29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

“God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.”—ACTS 10:34, 35.

Instead of saying/telling us, why don't you "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, ... teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU", the way Jesus also instructed his followers to do.
When Jesus sent out his early disciples, he directed them to go to the homes of the people. (Matt. 10:7, 11-13) The apostle Paul said regarding his ministry: “I did not hold back from telling you any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching you publicly and from house to house.”—Acts 20:20, 21; see also Acts 5:42.

Therefore a Christian is to “Become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves with false reasoning.”—JAMES 1:22.
Thus the message that he/she proclaim involves the lives of people; they want to be careful to miss no one. (Zeph. 2:2, 3) Their calls are motivated by love—first for God, also for their neighbor.

satisfaction grew to become into devil's Sin in the backyard...He had to be worshipped as GOD; had to furnish Adam and Eve with lies/deception that further approximately Paradise lost. Being a forged-out fallen angel together with his demon group, devil has been offering the servants of the Lord (the others are his captives already) temptations to lead them to stray removed from ending up the Lord's Will for Salvation. The satisfaction of guy is the Lust of conceitedness being crammed with himself, his own mind (innovations) being his instruction manual. bear in innovations whilst JESUS CHRIST got here on his rescue project and devil tempted Him, to grant way and worship Him, and he could provide him each and all of the kingdoms of the international. Get at the back of me, devil; for you get excitement from not the failings of GOD, however the failings of guy. guy is born inherent sinful nature (prideful) and this would desire to be conquered by way of his salvation and co-dependency upon the only authentic and residing God and His Son the Lord Jesus Christ who finished by ability of his blood shed salvation for all of humanity.

Plainly you know nothing of what the "hippie" movement was about, or what they were trying to do.

Yes, there were plenty of louts and charismatics among them...but they were all about change. Change in attitude, change in tradition, change in ideals.

Which, in fact, was what your Jesus was about too.

They are first God's creation, and after that everything else. I don't think God can hate, and even if he could he wouldn't hate his creations.
