How old do you think someone should be to start dating?
I mean so many kids today start dating at the age of 11,12,13,14,15, and 16..and then get themselves into breakups and everything..usually wasting precious times of childhood!
What do you think? Do you think children should date this early? If you think they should, what's the meaning of it..most chances are it's all an infatuation, right?
Would you allow your child to date at an age of 16 and younger?!

Kids should remain kids and not date until they are 18 years old. At the age of 11 - 16, they do not have the maturity to handle dating and should be thinking of their lessons in school. Nothing is running away and they have their whole lives to date...

some kids are pretty grown up by the time they reach 16 and can handle dating. I don't feel that any child should date much before the age of 16. I also believe that even at 16 years old these kids should be limited to how much time they are allowed to spend together and they should never be left unsupervised. school work and home life comes first then the boyfriend or girlfriend.

I think those younger than the age of 16 should be allowed to date. Dating at that age is foolish games, but yet it teaches lessons in itself that we could not teach if they were not allowed to date. Those whom are secured from opportunities tend to rebel at any open opportunity. If a child is not allowed to date until they are 16, 17 or 18 then who says that they won't get so caught up in being in a relationship that they'd end up with a child. I'm not saying that is true in all cases, but it could happen. Take example, me and my cousin. My mother allowed me to date at a younger age, and I quickly learned which guys to stay away from and how to love and respect alittle more. My cousin however, was not allowed to date until she was 16. The second she turned 16, she jumped around from one guy to another and ended up pregnant by the age of 19.

I don't have children, but my parents never put a rule on what age I could start dating. Every kid is different some kids are starting to me mature (mind wise) at the age of 14 some not until they are 20.
Start them out slow - if a group of them want to go to the movies in junior high, let them, but with parents there to make sure no one goes too far. Then as h/s comes into play - they can go to dances w/the opposite sex or same who knows these days haha. THen perhaps more formal dating experiences.

I think 16 could be good to star. Still young but sometimes it's hard for those kids to wait. I started dating when I was 15 and I have regreted that thousands of time. I wasted my time, and it made my teens the worst time of my life.

i think 16 or even 18 is a good age. anything younger is a baaad idea. Kids should be kids and enjoy their innocence. they will have plenty of time in the future to deal/experience all that relationship stuff

i would think that a person should start dating when their ready to take in whatever comes in their relationship. so i would say probably 14. becuase they start they know their responsibility's.
and not every person but some people. otherwise 16 is a good age too.

according to me dating at this very small age will put you into gutters. it is not the right age to decide your life. you still have time. at this age you should enjoy to its fullest but in the correct sense. at this age if you go for dating it is only infatuation and nothing else.. when i disagree this for others how will i accept this from my children.
