If this was really true, it wouldn't be wrong!! But it is incorrect.
Smoke a lot more for a while and you will find out yourself, eventually! And then, after that bad experience, find yourself a better and healthier habit. Because to clear your mind and soul, you don't need anything else, but your attention on your own behavior and your own thoughts, every second of your life.
And that's hard work. So, that's why it's so important, that you need to be healthy!
I wish you good luck on your path.

That is why in my last answer I said 'technically' Buddhist do not indulge in intoxicants. Ultimately you must decide for yourself about this. Buddhism allows you that freedom.

I am Buddhist and when I became Buddhist I even stopped taking prescription drugs because it interfered with my mental and spiritual acuity. I also don't eat meat for this reason. As you walk your path you will decide what is the right thing for you.

its the only drug that grows naturally on this planet, just like mushrooms were gifts from aliens (the only plant on the planet that can reproduce in outer space). so with that information, it must be that the government is regulating the wrong drugs, how can a weed be a bad thing? alot of things have been inspired by pot, music, art, literature, etc.
but morally, i dont think its wrong, as im hitting the pipe right now
