My toddler has a severe allergy to certain tree nuts and is allergic to peanuts. A small bite of pastry containing a trace amount of tree nuts landed us a visit to the ER and nearly killed her. We didn't know at the time about her allergy. She had eaten Reeses PB cups in the past w/o incident. Life has changed and her allergy has become a part of our daily lifestyle. Every package has to be read, her school is aware and quite vigilant about protecting the allergic children. We carry Benadryl and an EpiPen. When we eat out,we constantly have to tell servers about her allergy and we need to watch for cross contamination on utensils and grills, etc. Family members are all aware of her allergy and most are considerate about taking necessary precautions. Food that may contain nuts or processed on shared equipment is not permitted in our home.

Those are the basics. At age 3,she is as educated as she can be. She comprehends what the ramifications can be if she eats food with nuts. She also know to ask when presented with a new food or food from someone else...she says "No nuts!!??"

My friend has a nut allergy so we have to be really careful when near her ..... it can be really dangerous and me and my other mates have to make sure we havent gone anywhere near peanuts or any type of nuts if were going to see our friend as she swells up and it can be very scary . She has to carry an epidural Pen ( A Epi Pen) so if she does swell up and go into an attack me or one of my mates can inject her which clams her system down and brings her back to normal. When a friend goes into an attack for an allergy it is inceedingly frightening but you have to stay calm ... if in doubt call an ambulance !

My son has a nut allergy and it is a living nightmare for him

Everything you seem to buy has a disclaimer written on it saying may contain traces of nuts......

If he eats nuts touches them he could die he has to carry an adrenaline shot around with him just in case....

I wonder how many people starving in the Sudan have a nut allergy or are lactose intollerant for that matter.

Get what I'm saying?

It particular sounds like it. Please go see a board qualified allergist to verify for particular. you have to be evaluated for the reason that's extreme. you're able to would desire to circumvent peanuts. while you're quite allergic to peanuts, the subsequent time you eat peanuts- that's attainable you have anaphylaxis and die. you're able to would desire to hold an Epipen to apply in case of an emergency.

my son is allergic to peanuts and one of his best friends is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts. it is just one of those things you get used to living with. as long as nuts are not in our house, my son is safe.
