if i gave my dog a big juicy steak maybe once a year,would this spoil him?would he not want his dog food after this??

if it were only once a year then yeah you would be spoiling him but so what. he would enjoy it totally. and yes he would continue eating his dog food the next day. just look at the steak as being a special treat for him.

No , it wouldn't spoil him ! Now if you gave him people food all the time then it would. We give our dog table scraps now and then and shes not spoiled !!! Just put the food in his bowl that way he won't think that plates are for him to eat off of too. He would love to have some special treats.

With my experience with my dogs, this drastic diet change will cause nausea & probably vomitting. Too rich for the tummy. BUT if you give him a few small pieces every now & then it should be fine. As for spoiling him, well, anytime you feed a pet from the table or outside of his regular meal in the bowl then you set up an expectation of future treats. He will still eat his food, but he will live in hope of extras.

First of all .. make sure the steak has NO BONES in it of any kind ... bone bits can get stuck in the throat or the intestine and you will be very sad. When you feed a dog "people" food ... instead of dry dog food .. .they will get tartar on their teeth quicker and you will need to have their teeth cleaned by a Vet. Personally, I wouldn't give my dog a whole steak to eat at one sitting. Just praise your dog, and give it dog treats sometimes. Good Luck ! :)

Once a year? WHY only once a year? Our dogs eat dog food, dry and wet food every day. They also eat what we eat off the table. If we have a steak they get their share too.
We have one that won't eat a chip unless it has dip on it. He looks at you like you are crazy and drops the chip.........NOW that is spoiled.........................

Not if you only do it once in a while. My dogs get table scraps (leftovers) sometimes, but not on a regular basis.

That is totaly fine! If you do it every day instead of once and a while you might have a problem. If you just stick to what you do thats cool!

nope, our dogs eat dog food, but they do get table scrapes and they still eat their dog food.....you should spoil your dog anyways he is the best and loyalest friend you're ever have

dogs like bones more than steak, and if u gave them a chocolate they will be blind, but no, dont give him steak casue i think hell not like it, give him a bunch of bones and he will be happy and spoilt... HE LIKE BONES MORE THAN A STEAK!!! ^_^
