As far as living, well known Muslims, I think of:

1. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of Iran
2. Sayyid Ali Khamenei, Grand Ayatullah, Supreme Leader of Iran
3. Sayyid Hasan Nasrullah, Secretary General of Hizb Allah, Lebanon
4. Sayyid M.H. Fadlullah, Grand Ayatullah, Lebanon
5. Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, Iraqi leader

(Note: I wonder why some people named individuals who are not even Muslim (i.e. Farrakhan), and some others who are, at best, questionable.)
