Yes if you dilute it, remember paste is used as a base for alot of recipes so dilute it to the consistency of tomato juice

i hate it that when that happens. it won't taste the same, but start
off with just a little t. paste and mix it in, add a little more to get the
taste you want. you may (i would) add a little chile powder to get the desired effect. last resort would be to set the pot off to the side and cover then go to the store and get the salsa then proceed as usual. or if you have a tomato cut and crush and then add to the rice. hopes this helps a little.

The sort of the tomato could be confusing. yet there are key issues to be conscious. it could particularly be seen a vegetable and a fruit on an identical time reckoning on which context this is in. Yes, but thin it down and add a little sugar and a little vinegar to cut the flat taste of the tomato paste.

All fruits are fresh vegetables. A "vegetable" is a plant, any part of which is employed for food.

In the superstore, fruits are usually chosen far too soon. Some are rocks, many are wrong. Some of the fruit and vegetables are right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.

MY SUGGESTION WOULD BE TO USE SPAGHETTI SAUCE........ABOUT A CUP .............ADD FINELY CHOPPED ONIONS, PEPPERS , BELL PEPPER.........WHATEVER YOU HAVE ON HAND TO MAKE YOUR OWN SALSA...................SEASON IT UP TO TASTE...........GARLIC, JALEPENO SALT, ETC.....IF YOU DON'T HAVE THESE THINGS.................TRY ADDING CHICKEN OR BEEF STOCK.......EVEN SPICE PACKET FROM RAMEN NOODLES WITH WATER AS NEEDED .........BE CREATIVE................IT MIGHT NOT TURN OUT TO BE SPANISH RICE.....BUT YOU CAN MAKE TASTY RICE...................GOOD LUCK
