Yeah I agree. I've been saying for ages that if we have a bladder control problem, indigestion, AIDS, HIV, herpes, hemoroids, etc. then you have probably went to the doctor for these problems. Once there I'm sure the doctor gave you medicne for this. Why do they feel the need to advertise for this sort of stuff. Like if they didnt advertise tampons no one would use them? Yeah right! They need to get real.

It's not an either/or thing. What I mean is the fact that something like Viagra is advertised for men doesn't detract from aids research or any other research. Are you saying that people who don't have terminal illnesses shouldn't have help for other ailments? Untreated bladder infections and acid reflux, for example, can lead to cancers (acid reflux can lead to esophageal cancer).
As for aids, it is recognized now as a condition which can't be cured but it can be controlled like diabetes.
Don't worry. There are more than enough researchers working on cancers & aids and all sorts of other terminal illnesses. There are just so many grants to go around & they go to research first which affects the most people.

I work in a Pharmaceutical company and we have an oncology department (cancers). Let me tell you, finding a medication that can slow down rapid cell growth is not easy. We have spent millions of dollars on cancer research and the best we can do is help someone survive a few extra months.
The erectile dysfunction medication was discovered accidentally as a side effect for another illness.
Some illnesses are just harder to master than others.
AIDS? This is the outcome of a virus, and those are not easy to target and treat either.
Believe me, if someone could find a cure for AIDS they would - it would make a lot of money for those "greedy Pharmaceuticals", and help a lot of people at the same time.

I'm not at all sure what you're point in all of this is about. So, I'm guessing that since there is not cure for cancer or AIDS, we should pour all of the money for research into those things and let everyone else go to hel*l in a handbasket? Sorry, I don't agree with you.

Every time i see a pharmasuticle commercial I immeadiately change the channel...............after setting the record mode. So I can skip past the commercials. If there is one thing I hate in this life it's pharmacutical commercials. Another one is when you're watching something with young boys (my two sons) and a Tampon commercial appears.
I think the Pharmaceutical companies should start their own channel and leave the commercials for station related items.

Probably because Viagra and its knockoffs already exist, and since there's more than one brand-name available, there's a need to advertise.
It's just like hospitals; you see billboards for hospitals everywhere. You'd think, "Wow, do hospitals really need to advertise?" But, as long as there's more than one hospital to choose from, there's a need for advertisement.
You can bet that if a no-hassle cure for cancer becomes widely popular, more than one brand-name of it will be developed, and there'll be advertisements everywhere you look.
No matter how you look at, no matter how many lives they're saving, it's still business.

Actually there are cures for every disease under the sun. If you knew more about herbs and herbal healing process you wouldn't make such a blatant statement. Go to herbdoc.com for more information on how to heal yourself of any and all diseases and you will never go to a doctor again. Drugs have been proven by scientific fact by pharmaceutical companies and doctors and other scientists not to work. Herbs work and they always will. The federal government passed a law pushed through by the drug companies years and years ago that made it illegal for anyone to say they cured themselves of any disease using herbs. They can say that herbs helped to heal them, but they cannot say herbs cured them. It is a question of semantics, but you can go to jail one way and not the other. Check this site out. Hundreds of thousands of people the world over swear by the man who started this site including me because he taught me how to cure my heart disease and that was several years ago. Good fortune to you.
