It used to be ok, but so much stuff on there now is NOT what it claims and it can be the kiss of death from an adware point of view.
I use torrent now - hardly ever have a fake file, very fast downloads, VASTLY more material on torrent sites, ZERO spyware / adware.

Limewire is death for your computer. I had it for a while and downloaded a bunch of music, and then ended up with viruses that couldn't do deleted with a virus program. I ended up having to wipe out my entire hard drive and start fresh. So never again will i get Limewire, don't use it...it's not worth it

Just about the only use for limewire and other p2p programs is downloading and sharing of music. Incase you haven't heard, this is illegal. Soooo, you ever see limewire on someone's computer, it's a good bet that they could probably get slapped with a massive lawsuit from the blood-thursty record companies.

Limewire WAS a great program. It's gone downhill since scammers started using it. Now if you do a search, you get all kinds of bogus results...sound like kazaa? I still use it personally.

I use Limewire. Very reputable program. Don't try Morpheous. Sucks B*lls!!!

LimeWire it self is awesome, but only you can make it sucky..
You have to be very careful of what you download.. and upload, you could be uploading tons of personal stuff without even knowing it..
I personally use it to download songs, illegal yes, but well music isn't cheap...
But make sure you have virus protection, firewall, spyware/adware remover

I used it and not only got virus and spy ware but people started tracking my ip from it so i use Ares it is Free,fast,safe,easy and you can download movies,software,music etc.
