I have a 6 year old girl and 9 year old boy and I know if you are taking them outside you can play some kind of ball game with them. All kids like kick ball, throwing, catching. She will be happy to play games with her brother. It will make her feel more equal in age. Inside, I use educational computer games that they both like. He helps her and she learns from him. We also play the Game of Life, hide and seek, we wrestle, or they go their own seperate ways and play with their own things. They like movies like Freaky Friday, A Cinderella Story, (Disney type films). We read Harry Potter. They like to pretend they are famous singers, etc. Ask them what they would like to do. Tell them they must agree, give them a few choices and go from there. I hope this helps.

Hide and go seek

There are so many options of things to do. Go to like wal mart and they will have a whole aisle of games that you can look at and see if they are age appropriate.

kids those ages like board games and card games. uno, go fish, war, the "match game". board games like trouble and sorry or kids trivia any games that don't require much reading (for the sex year old).
of course, you can always play more active games like hide and seek, or hide objects and find them (don't know what that's called) charades ~ think back to when you were that age. good luck.

Believe me, you have nothing to worry about, just ask them, and they will keep you busy forever! They will be so happy to have someone else to "play" with. Kids like variety. You could always add or make-up thing to their games, to put more fun into the excitement...Just play along, and they will think your the "coolest!"

Are you watching them at your house or their house? If it's at their house, then I'm sure you can find a game or movie to watch with them. If they're at your house then watch a movie or make cookies with them. Maybe turn the lights off in the house and play flashlight tag.

Kids are into spongebob, at least mine are so try having them watch that. My kids really like monopoly, life, disney's scene it, and so on. I think our favorite is pictionary. It's so much fun and we're all dying of laughter because of the way everyone draws, try that one.
