and could see, everyone, everywhere, at once, hear all thier prayers, at once, (as we're told).....
Then why would you pick the odd random nutter to convey your important world changing message?
Why not speak to everyone, at once to spread your word? We'd all lead good christian lives, and believe....job done?
Is the fact this simple obvious thing doesnt happen, a flaw, in christianity, relying on sigular nutters, to hear and convey the word, who also, ask for cash, to help this important work?

I've never quote thought of it the way you just stated, but I myself have decided to cut out the middle management and talk to the boss himself. Like the middle man in sales, I buy direct and avoid other's profit$, (prophets?) I don't make a point a claiming to have any great revelations for the world, in fact, I make a point not to, as I know most people would have about the same interest in my divine revelations as I have in their's, not to mention being considered a nutjob. Why don't some of the bigmouths today such as Pat Robertson realize how they must look to the world? I don't even take much stock in what the prophets of old of any religion ever had to say about the almighty ultimate power of the universe. Some people might say things about the problem of having every ding-a-ling on the planet running around touting his own brand of theology, but that doesn't seem like it would be a problem if that's how the master of the universe wanted to disclose himself to the world. To me, it's all about controlling other people with fear and superstition while gaining prestige and nothing more. God's judgement sounds to me like just another way of saying "You just wait until your father gets home." Well, my father has an open-door policy and allows me to communicate with him about whatever is on my mind without having to go through the middle man. - 'nuf said!

mm if i was God, i think what you and everyone seems to fail to grasp is that we are slowly moving into a big brother state and pretty soon we will all have to do everything you have described but obeying the state, i'm not a religious person but i thing that the whole point of us having free will is so that we feel as though we have a purpose if that it taken away and God does all the work what's the point of our exitstence?

The thing is this - god is the facilitator, not the judge (we are the judges). God is the energy that powers this universe and all things are only possible through that energy - but religion and judgement were created by humans. God doesn't judge what we do. God is helping us learn important lessons before we return home to spirit.
If you believe christian myth, you might see that god offered us the opportunity to have this world as a lovely paradise - everyone happy and knowing their birthright - but we chose the path of knowledge. We desired a school rather than a playground in this existence and so that is what we got.
Every event is up for interpretation and goes through the filter of each of our own perspective and experience. It's an amazing system - one just needs to be flexible to see the beauty.
Peace!

In the Old Testament God did speak down from heaven and the people would hold there ears and scream "that voice please Moses you go speak to it " In the New Testament God spoke from heaven and some siad they heard a voice and others siad it was thunder , So if your hard of hearing the truth of God then no matter what God was to do you just would not get it or understand , But when a man becomes Born Again he is a new creature and he can hear the voice of the Lord

It seems to me that God desires a certain amount of seeking from people. Which is understandable. When he does offer proofs he does it for his own purposes and in his own way. He has given us freedom to believe whatever we want to and doesn't feel the burden of constantly having to prove himself. We have the ability and right to question false nutters and reject them if we see fit. If we are truely seeking him we will lean the truth from the false. But this is where seeking comes into play. If we just want to believe what we want or be spritually lazy we will never question others and let them think for us.

Eveyone is their own God! -In charge of their own destiny, and controlling their own lives. Any other 'God' may as well be the invisible man in the sky! How could all the prayers be answered from the people of this crazed world??

Okay, so you're the most powerful being in all the universe. It's got to get boring after a while! How else do you have fun than by picking the most outcast person you can find to carry your message and see who listens?
That's why, when people we consider to be "crazy" tell me that God is talking to them, I listen. They just might be the most sane of us all.

Shocking news! Are you suggesting that those illiterate, fasting, drug using ,ignorant, superstitious visionaries of Bible fame, are nutters? So there are no voices in the clouds, winged chariots, dead men walking, flaming pits, or Angels and Demons? At least we still have the Tooth Fairy!

Yes, it would have been child's play for an omnipotent being to reveal itself to the entire world at once and save the missionaries a whole load of trouble..
That's one of the reasons why I seriously doubt that the religions are man-made..
