Once Vista is actualy stable (assume 1-2 years post release) it will likely be a matter of openion. I've heard Vista has some pretty cool features, but MAC has always been a lot easyer to use and navigate.

Windows has always been popular because it is easy to use and everything works on it. Mac is safer because its "locked", that's why you always have to check if software or hardware is compatible. If windows was locked it would be safer but also less attractive.Mac is for people who think they can afford something more expensive that does the usual. Personally Linux(ubuntu) is far better than Mac and its free. But if you just want a computer without the technicalities stick to windows cos any friend can help you when something goes wrong.

its a bit early to judge vista as its still in its 3rd beta stage, however i am using vista rc1 beta at the moment and have found it to be quite good, very visual and user freindly, but the answer to your question is no
i say this as mac osx is a tried and tested operating system which is stable and again user friendly, but if you are migrating to apple osx from windows, you will be in for a culture shock as its totally different from windows
windows vista will not be a viable option for at least a year after release,so stick with osx for the next few years
good luck

Mac OS X is tremendous with all of its fancy software and speedy reaction yet isn't strong contained in the field of knowledge technologies. Mac OS X is purely solid for media proper events which incorporates enhancing pictures, getting waiting a movie, and that is virtually it. they don't extremely slot contained in the corporate international. residing house windows is a pragmatic operating device yet in a good number of cases a large number highly to the individuals who use it. the reason residing house windows has a nasty popularity contained in the previous few many years is through the 1000's of thousands of hackers who ruin all of it. Microsoft purely 38,000 workers operating day and nighttime with 10,000 engaged on protection updates and virus definitions. analyze that make sure with the 1000's of thousands of hackers encoding 1000's of viruses and malware prevalent, Microsoft can somewhat save up. Mac OS X is fortunate to be probability-free from hackers yet not for lengthy. In a hacking competition very last three hundred and sixty 5 days, a hacker replaced into waiting to bust open a Mac operating Leopard is a lot less then a million minute by exploiting many flaws. The variety of flaws were virtually resembling that of residing house windows. Then it took a hacker more effective than 12 minutes to bust open residing house windows Vista. It replaced right into a problematical strive against and Vista deserved a good number of credit. besides the undeniable fact that the purely operating device to proceed to be unhacked replaced into Linux through its possible scarce coding. Hackers are commonly used to residing house windows coding it really is why we computer clients are consistently lower than probability. undemanding, residing house windows Vista is a lot extra take care of than Mac OS X even no matter if it isn't quickly. i have been utilizing Vista for progression applications which incorporates designing, simulating, and offering. To me, residing house windows is a pragmatic operating device which benefits a good number of credit and if it weren't for the the 1000's of thousands of hackers accessible, residing house windows might want to extremely be the international's maximum more advantageous operating device.

I assume this question is not a joke. MAC systems are so superior that it is almost a crime to mention Windows in the same sentence.

no.

namely, vista isn't out yet....and MS has only recently given code to the McAffe and the other security software makers.....so I imagine that it'll be easier to hack than a solar powered calculator.
