I bought a plastic container of potato salad at a local supermarket on Wednesday evening and mistakenly left it in the car all night. It was and still is sealed. Haven't eaten any of it. Outdoor temperatures ranged from the 50's / 40's for the first few hours to the 40's / 30's over the course of the next few hours. It was left in the car for approximately 10 - 11 hours. When I discovered the package and picked it up it was still quite cool, but not what you would call cold. Is it safe to eat?

When in doubt, throw it out. Being out a few bucks is better than feeling sick for a good day and a half.

I have never heard of a child getting sick or dieing from eating their boogers(I'm sure at some point we have ALL eaten a booger or two) As disgusting as it is they say it can actually help build their immune system.

Yes, it is fine. The temperatures were close to that of your fridge, and somewhat cooler. So it is just like being in the fridge but being in the car instead. If it was warm out at any point or time, then I would say no. But since it wasnt then you are ok.

i have had food poisoning from eating at a salad bar from a steak house and it really isn't something i would wish on my worst
enemy. as had been said when in doubt trow it out. better safe than spending the night in e.r. tossing cookies (potato salad)
all night and not the other things your body will do to get rid of
tainted food, too gross to mention but you get the idea.

Give it to me! I turn it into mulch so that it would go to good use.

I would not chance it. Would you rather a big hospital bill or buy another salad?
