Since the traditional gift is cotton, why not a beautiful set of very high threadcount sheets. Put them on the bed, dont wrap them. Light the room with candles, set a picnic with some new china (another traditional gift) and figure out the rest from there.

P.S. Happy Anniversary!

I have been married for 10 years and we have never followed the traditional gift lists. Depending on what your spouse likes you could have a romantic weekend get away or to an expensive restaurant you normally wouldn't go to. My favorite gift was one year my husband had our kids stay with the grandparents, we had the house to ourselves and he decorated the house and when I came home I had post it note instructions all over that led me into a room which had rose petals, candles and he had prepared my favorite meal and we ate on this blanket (like we were picnicing) and then he got romantic. Very sweet and fun.
