I don't know. He is just a hater a far as I am concerned, and
Sir, actually, Hinduism is the oldest religion of the three major world religions. It existed before Christianity came into being, Christianity is supposed to come second with Islam being the youngest.
{ Note} When I am talking about the major world religions, I am talking in terms of the number of people each religion has. Christianity supposedly has the most people. Islam is the second largest religion. Hinduism is the third. If you are talking about the three Abrahamic religions, Then, Judaism, not Christianity is the oldest religion.

Well, I don't really see the connection, here... He could claim he's fighting crusaders, because the Crusades were done by Christians. So that argument would be a little outdated, but true. Anyway, we all know that neither Bin Laden nor Bush are there for what they claim they are.

Christianity is not the oldest..... Abraham was the "father" of monotheism, and Abraham followed the pure monotheism that is Islam. christianity came much later. Islam wasn't technically called Islam until later, but the religion is the same.
How could Bin Laden say that? probably because he wants to see religion return to it's original roots, the worship of God and God alone. Can't say I agree with the tactics, though.

If you are trying to understand him, try to put yourself in his position. His people have lived amidst constant violence for decades, largely powered and fueled by the super powers of the globe - each side in the cold war providing arms and training to maintain a good relationship with their oil source - but providing it to warring factions and keeping that region in a constant state of violence. Global crusaders could just as easily mean people who would dominate the earth politically and territorially as it could mean religiously - and frankly would the oldest and largest of the big 3 religions deserve the title global crusaders in a religious context? Not to mention that there is no question that that statement is incorrect if you mean Judaism, Christianity and Islam, because Judaism clearly came before christianity if the Jews had anything to do with Jesus' downfall.
Peace!

Remember, bin Laden knows power, wealth, oil, and many men of influence in the world. His family and that of Bush have been close for decades. To the Muslims, the global crusaders are really secular, not religious, though the Christian influence is not lost on them. The Muslim religion is ancient. Their ways, rites, customs, and habits are from another time long past. The influence of the West exerts an enormous pressure for all to change and conform to it, and Muslims don't like what it stands for. The ;power of Western men over the middle east is large, influencing and bribing, setting up dictators, controlling the oil, establishing huge military bases there, backing Israel who to Muslims are illegal immigrants just moving in and taking over ;part of Palestine. This is all like a large Tsunami hitting them and they consider it a monumental case of bullying their lives, religion, and culture. They will not give up to this without a fight. The Christian influence is also there in the mix, but it is small compared to the rest. Most religions, Islam included, think they have it right and the rest of the world is just primitive and ignorant. Sp,it is like we are crusading against them again, as we did long ago, and it is an effective language battle cry for the middle east.

I am sorry-----I do not understand you. What does Bin Laden have to do with the oldest religion? These are two different subject matters.
