How do you know that you can trust that person? I would like to trust, but I cannot.

That's the thing- you cannot be certain,in this wide cyber world, you are annoynymous and free to (unfortunatly) to adopt any persona you desire. So there is no way of knowing, unless you are guided by your intuition. If you feel that you cannot trust that person, as you stated, then perhaps those doubts are an indicator that something is not right? Listen to your feelings!

It's virtually impossible. All you can do is get to know them and pay attention to everything they say. I have caught people lying about things on IM. If you can't trust anyone as it is, then I suggest you don't even try on the net. Perhaps you have issues with trusting and you need to seek some help? Just a thought.

Then don't trust em . People lie all the time in chat rooms . My ex met his new wife in a chat room and she told him all these lies about herself . I mean she said she was 130 lbs and actually she weighed 300 lbs and hasn't seen 130 lbs in years ! Don't believe anything anyone says !
